FOUR THINGS NECESSARY FOR GOOD MENTAL HEALTH

I have been working on myself a lot the past 4 years(almost) and I have learned that these four things are very crucial in order for me to feel like my best self.

1.Getting enough sleep. I put this one first because this is crucial. When I don’t get enough sleep I become sluggish and I don’t feel like getting anything done. My mood also becomes very low and I stop feeling like myself. Getting rest and sleep is extremely crucial in ensuring that I am my best self.

2.Making time for fun. Life is so serious all the time and I often find myself loosing that inner child that enjoy having fun and doing the simple things in life. So I try to make time for at least one fun thing a day. This makes like less stressful for me and I feel as if I can conquer anything. Life also stops feeling monotonous when I am making time to enjoy myself.

3.Self love. Self love is one of the most important things for my mental health. When my self love is declining, so is my mental health. In order to keep my self love levels high, I say affirmations throughout the day and I focus on the things I love about myself.

4.Radical acceptance. Accepting yourself as you are while trying to change yourself for the better is very hard. It is easier to be hard on myself on all of my short comings than it is to accept that I am human and to forgive myself for when I have fallen short of the sometimes unrealistic standards that I have set for myself. So when I radically accept myself and tell myself that I am worthy, I learn.

These are just some of the things that I do in order to help myself become the best version of myself.
